3 chips and not even a year old!

what are the chances I could get something like this covered under warranty? :D

Stop following so close wont have that issue.... they wont warranty it

I don't follow close, there's always a buffer between me and the car in front. This never happened on my 1500 and my driving habits haven't changed.

Ugh those are good ones too. This worries me about my new rig with painted bumpers but will be investing in some sort of protective film. It may not stop them all but will help for sure.

I think the dealer would consider chips like that as normal wear and tear. I'd touch them up best I could and then get a film wrap.

I really like the look of painted bumpers, but went back to chrome for this exact reason. Thinking about getting my front chrome bumper wrapped in white.

No way I could have a painted bumper. I live in the country. Too many bushes, sticks, branches, and rocks around here.

Never had painted bumpers before, but kinda grew on me when looking at the truck. Had the same thought about chips and now see a few around the grill facias and bumper. Would have rather had the chrome, but it was the last 2500 on the lot and equipped the way I wanted, and the price was right. So if it gets bad I'll get the chrome grill facias and chrome bumpers.

My last truck had the chrome bumper and grille surround. I missed the painted bumper of the truck I had before it so I went back to painted. If it gets chipped or scratched I will have my amazing painter repaint it. Pretty cheap at $150. Besides, I will probably end up scratching it up like this anyway. When they painted the bumper they also painted the new grille surround I had picked up.

I had the front bumper of my previous Ram 1500 sprayed with Line X that was color matched to the paint. No more rock chips after that. It cost me around $180

Any pics? Sounds cool. I had my 13 Ram 2500 grill and front and rear bumpers sprayed in black line x. I did it to get ride of the chrome, and I loved the durability and look.
This time I had my Ram covered in xpel film.
