I had my clearance lights, a tail light, and trailer lighting go out on my 19 3500. I thought it was the TIPM. What I found was the parking brake was rubbing on the wiring harness for the body control module.
There was one wire broken and several with exposed copper. I was able to get a splice on the broken wire and tape around most of the frayed wires. All of the truck lights work now, but still have some trailer lights not working.
I purchased the truck new in 20, but I think they had added some things that I wouldn't pay for and then removed them. Looks like the plug was routed the wrong direction placing the cable in the path of the parking brake.
Anyone else have this issue? I also found what looks like an after market relay under the dash.
Anyone have drawings available for the wiring harness that goes from the body control module to the TIPM? Or a part number for that harness?19 ram BCM to TIPM.jpgBCM to TIPM damage.jpg

Have you checked all of the related trailer fuses in the PDC? Each trailer lighting circuit has a fuse.
You may have to open up that harness a little more to check for any other damaged wires if the fuses check out.
Most of the factory harness routing diagrams are hard to make out so I would just route it out of the way of moving parts.
The dash harness is around $1k plus you would have to pull the dash to install it so if it was my truck I would just fix it

It looks like the damaged one has three or four plugs connected to the body control module then into a harness that goes through the firewall and to the TIPM.
PDC=TIPM?

Yes the PDC and BCM essentially replaced the TIPM, the PDC is a just a fuse/relay box, no electronics like the TIPM had.
If you want to replace that harness you would have to have the dealer look up the correct part by VIN because there looks like some variations depending on options

I was going to call the dealer today, see how bad it's going to hurt. $$ It's so tight under the dash I can't even get my fingers to the top plugs.
