Spent my Saturday doing a full maintenance on my 2022 HO. I ordered all of my filters through my local International Trucks Sales & Service center. They are able to order Fleetguard filters and had half of what I needed in stock. The other two filters arrived two days after ordering. I was hoping Fleetguard would offer an alternative to the Mopar 68436631AA frame mounted primary fuel filter / water separator, but they do not have a filter that crosses. Up until now I’ve been using the mopar brand for this filter, purchased at my Ram dealership. On a whim, I decided to give the Baldwin PF46152 a try, as it seems to be one of the only direct crosses for the 68436631AA, outside of places like Doc’s or Amazon’s no-name alternatives. After opening the box, I was surprised to find the Baldwin looks absolutely identical to the Mopar. Hopefully it will perform just as well.

I’m curious if anyone has concrete knowledge of who produces the mopar 68436631AA ? I have been told repeatedly that Fleetguard manufactures that filter for mopar, but does not distribute it outside of the mopar network. I struggle to believe that as, the mopar filter I just took out of my truck was stamped “Parker” (I’m assuming that’s Parker-Hannifin / Racor) and the “68436631AA” number. Anyone have a mopar filter stamped differently? It would be interesting to know if these Baldwin PF46152’s are indeed identical to the Mopar, as Parker owns Baldwin.

If you have a good pic of the top of a mopar 68436631AA could you post it below? Like i said, my last mopar was stamped Parker but some are claiming to have seen ones stamped Fleetguard.

The “Parker” got partially erased when I wiped the excess fuel off the top but if you look closely you’ll see it’s still there.

Mopar has many companys make their filters before wix used to make some of their filter

I thought it was interesting to see the Parker stamp, as I believe that’s who they contracted to manufacture the water separator filter for the 4th generation trucks as well. Made me feel a little better seeing their stamp on the mopar filter. If they own Baldwin it’s probably a safe bet the filters are identical.

I understood that Parker was still making it, even after the swap to a cartridge style filter.

I’ll be honest thou, ever since OEM upped their game on filtration my filter research has wained pretty heavily.

It would appear that is still the case.
Would be interesting to see side by side specs but the specs on that filter seem to be difficult to find.

Mopar specs are usually hard to find, but Baldwin has always been easy to obtain. If I get a few minutes this week I’ll see what I can dig up.

I paid $51.79 for it at my local International Trucks dealership. That’s over the counter, no special pricing. Genos is selling the mopar for $59.95. I would assume with a bulk order account international could probably do better

Genos is way to expensive to use for me here in canada usually the shipping is killer at 50-100$ depending on what i price out. I can get the baldwin through the local auto parts store with my business account for 39$ where the dealer is 88$

We used to vacation in the US and now that i am retired we spend winters in the south. I have been buying from Geno's for over twenty years and have them shipped to my US address. if it wasn't for that, I would be going to my local truck repair place for my Fleetguard filters and pay the dealer an arm and a leg fo the one Mopar filter. I DO NOT trust my 20 thousand dollar engine to Amazon.

You can get the same filters at commercial truck shops. Their prices are better than the ram truck dealers. At least on my area anyway. IMG_3841.jpeg

We noted the identical nature of the mopar vs baldwin filters and run which ever we can get our hands on cheaper when we buy them. The same for the front nanonet with fleetguard vs mopar - again whichever are more cost effective we buy. I included a picture from a brand new Mopar water separator that I had sitting in my office. It's a Parker PN on it and I've had no qualms running the Baldwin filter - Everything we've found tells us its the same element.

I have ordered from Genos in the past but now with the exchange and shipping it makes no sense to do it
