Ford Superduty Ramp system on RAM Heavy Duty

New 2500 Rebel owner here (first RAM). I've had a number of Superduty's that I have been moving the Ford ramp system between. I have two sets of these ramps and a couple of tailgate plates.

I frequently haul my adventure bikes, dirt bikes and trials bikes. I really like the Ford ramp system - the system has an aluminum plate that mounts over the access hatch on the tailgate, using the existing screw holes, so no permanent modifications necessary and it doesn't impede in any way using the bed for other purposes. The ramps slide onto this plate and lock into place such that they cannot kick out when riding a four wheeler up them or using engine power from my motorcycles to load the bikes. The ramps also extend and collapse and have a weight capacity of 800 lbs each/1600 lbs combined. Fully extended - 8'. Collapsed - 4', so they easily fit in the bed once the bikes are loaded. I don't ever stow these along the bed sides, just slide them into the bed.

I just laid the tailgate plate into my Rebel. Looks like I can drill new holes in the plate and it will work with my RAM.

Has anyone else tried this? I did a search on this forum and a general Google search, but didn't find anything.

I'll try to mount it up over the coming days and report back with pics. I also just bought a used Gladiator, so plan to try mounting the other plate on its tailgate.

Here's a good stock photo of these ramps.

I've never used that system, but my thoughts are the same as yours to just redrill the plate and mount it up to the Ram.

A nice setup. I didn't know Ford had such a system. As others have said, drill and enjoy.
