Did you have to drill through any metal, the lip of the fender that the plastic wheel well liner is attached to, to install the plastic rivets?
Or just into the plastic wheel well liner?

Which ones? The Rubber style requires one hole to be drilled through metal but only on the fronts.

Then why do the instructions call for rust preventative on the top hole of the front flap installation?
Not a clue but it goes beside the metal not through it

The rubber ones are the ones i have. And yes it is the fronts that i am questioning.
From what i can see it does look like the top hole needs to be thru the metal to fit correctly, or look right shall I say.

Just asking, didn't really want to drill through the metal if I don't have to!

See my picture they are exactly where they are supposed to go the flap is indented where it fits if you dont have flares so it cant be off
