After a trip to the smoky mountains earlier this week (and finding out why they are called the smoky mountains), I am going to be installing fog lights on my 20 tradesman.

Now, as most of you know the poverty packages didn't come with them from the factory. We got the block off plates instead. So, what I am trying to figure out, is the parts needed to make this happen.

I do not want factory fog lights. I am leaning towards the Baja Designs SAE units in amber. While the kit is available, it lacks the bezels. Where I am drawing a blank on is what bezel is being used? When looking at these trucks online, all I see are the slim rectangular LED units from factory. the BD kit shows them in a more rounded bezel.

I'm sure I've overlooked this information somewhere on the forum, but would anyone happen to know what the part numbers are needed for the bezels? Or even what truck(s) use that style?

As for the wiring, I am going to use a small relay triggered by the low beams to enable the fogs to stay on constant with the head lights, and to eliminate any need for additional switches and programming. I like things to be a start the truck and go type of affair. It's bad enough i have to turn the EB on after every time I start the truck, don't need another button to push. I know, first world problems for sure.

Any thoughts/advice?

I have the following saved in my notes…don’t remember who I stole it from on here though.

The bracket for the round lights is p/n 68449343AA, the bezels for round lights WITH parking sensors I found is 68449343AA

Thank you! Do you know what trim levels those are typically equipped on? Trying to find the bezel without front parking sensors.

Here’s all you will ever need to know (and more) about completing your project:

No…since I stole it and forgot to grab a link, I don’t have any other info…but it looks like @flan has you covered!

This is what I installed with SAE amber option…

I purchased the Trigger 4 to utilize as my switch…

Well, that takes care of literally every aspect of what I'm doing. Thank you @firemansdiesel

I would not wire the fogs directly to the low beams, but rather put a switch inline with parking light power.

There are times you’ll only want the fogs on, and times you’ll only want the low beams on. This is especially true if you get amber lights.

That’s is the kit I bought as well. I have the auxiliary switches so I went with that wiring option. Haven’t gotten around to installing it yet but it definitely seemed like the way to go. Having everything included in one package.

You need the bezels and the mounting brackets, as stated above.

I have my Baja designs sae fog lights wired to be on with the parking lights and have no regrets there. They come on with auto headlights.

I bought the bezels cheap online. Also pictured is the mounting bracket but it has the Baja designs bracket attached to it in this pic. Neither came with hardware but I found some easily

Does the Baja kit come with that plastic mount as well? Guess I didn't realize there was adittional parts outside of the bezel and light

you probably need that part. I did. [edit: your kit may come with these, see reply below] There was nothing behind the factory blank bezel to mount the lights to.

It’s possible the kits are more complete now. When I did this it was 2020 and the models were newish

My Baja kit was complete. All brackets, bezels and wiring were in it
