As stated in the welcome section this is my first time being a Dodge owner. I bought a 2019 2500 crewcab longbox with the Cummings.
I am 60 yrs old so I have owned a few vehicles in my time. I currently still have my old truck, a 2003 Duramax and a 2003 Honda civic along with a 2006 VW Jetta diesel.
I live in a rural area in Canada eh with very limited radio choices like 2 stations only. I have to drive 50 km each way to my work and only have one route that goes there.
Now to the point: This Ram has terrible FM reception as compared to my other vehicles listed. I now have 1 mile sections where the radio is un listenable where as my other vehicles
barely had any static or fading out of the signal in the same sections of road. I called the dealer and they had no answers and they checked also for any software up dates.
I have the Led headlights and I know from trying to retro fit halogens bulbs to Led degrade the radio reception but I assumed before buying this truck that Chrysler engineers would have this problem solved
as so many cars nowadays have Led lighting from the factory. I have what the dealer calls the "shark fin" antenna on the passenger side roof. I don't know how good of an antenna they are but the dealer said converting to a whip type is not an option and I don't know if that's the problem that's why I am asking here if anyone else has experienced similar reception problems?
