Depends on how the dealership writes the claim -

Its a gamble with aftermarket mods.
 
Well, there is a dealership mechanic on youtube that is installing all of these aftermarket mods on new trucks..I wonder how they get around it. I can't recall what youtube channel it was..but that bypass was one of many parts...try searching "bullet-proofing your 6.7" something around those lines...

i think to cover the claims of cylinder 6 not getting the cooling it needs.

Sure, but what’s the rest of the story? Stock truck? Modified? Etc…. The fleece bypass has an application, but can also provide some negatives in the wrong application

Absolutely not needed for your application. Not only does the stock 6.7 not have cooling or freeze plug issues, but your average ECT will decrease with the Fleece Bypass and IMO that's not a good thing.

The ECT decreases because Fleece uses a thermostat (180°) that opens sooner than the OEM thermostat (190°), so the bypass becomes the primary thermostat under low/mid loads. Under higher loads the ECT may get up to normal, but it will take a lot more to get the ECT where it should be when pulling grades towing to get the fan to activate since the OEM thermostat isn't full open until 207° and we don't get full fan engagement until around 215-220°. Empty cruising with a lower ECT also will have a slight decrease in fuel efficiency and passive regen.

The bypass is fine for those who are heavily modified and/or racing. For towing applications Fleece really should offer a bypass with a higher opening temp, 210°, to make it a true secondary setup.
