I was awakened by my Truck and it's flashing lights last night around midnight. I thought that someone was trying to steal it out of my driveway. The headlights and marker lights started to flash on and off without a rhythm. I'm out there in my underwear and baseball bat! I unlocked and re-locked the doors but the truck was freaking out flashing it's running lights on and off. I tried to start the truck but you could hear the lights still cycling. I took it for a ride and everything was working correctly but as soon as I turned off the truck, it was back to flashing it's lights. At this point I'm looking around for the UFO or someone with a key fob playing a trick on me.
I finally was able to get it to stop by turning the light switch from the AUTO position to off. I guess the gremlins got a hold of the switch. I was just glad it stopped finally. The next thing I was thinking about was to take the ground wires off both batteries until the morning. I wondering if anyone else has run into this problem. I'm going to have it checked at the dealer during my first service. My 3500 only has 4020 miles on it. That's what you get when you buy the top of the line Mega cab with all the bells and whistles for over 90K! Just weird! My heart is now back in my chest and I'm trying to get back to sleep.
