First Tow: 2021 Ram 2500

Pogo is too much rebound. I take it it's the factory suspension and not adjustable

Maybe pogo is the wrong word, rear porpoising is more like it which can be a coil spring by byproduct, only when towing and only over stutter bumps or expansion joints. like my sig says it’s Thuren coils and Fox 2.0 shocks. doesn’t happen a lot, just enough to bug me

I have the same issue occasionally, if found that if I add more weight to the back of the truck(from the trailer or just stuff in the bed) it helps significantly. On the list of upgrades is also some new shocks and I hope that will help as well.

First leg thru I24 and down I75 to North GA, 165miles. EVIC indicated 9.2mpg...Hand calculated 7.2mpg

Truck stayed pretty much in 6th, 2450rpm at 65mph. It's definately working harder to pull our Flagstaff 25BRDS.
...And have a TPMS light* that came on but tires are all inflated to proper specs. Hoping it would reset this morning but no luck. Picking up the new heavier and longer camper today so expecting a sharp *increase* in mpg on the way home...
2450 at 65mph seems high, trailer must be a hard pull for one reason or another . I pulled a Keystone Raptor 423 from MN to WY into the wind and ran ~2000rpm and overall got 10.2 mpg with my 2500 diesel (2021). MPG was 7.0 until turning south. NW wind makes a huge difference. Great MPG from Rapid City going south made up the difference.

That area is part of the Appalachian foothills. We upgraded to a 2911bs and it's essentially the same story. To its credit, the 6.4 will hold 65mph all day, it just works hard to do that and as a result drinks alot.

I had something similar. I drove from Houston to Colorado springs and back for a job, towing a trailer (microlite 21DS) the entire way. From Houston to Colorado springs, I had an indicated 9.7 mpg, generally 10 until i-25. On the return I faced a good 25mph+ wind from a front I was chasing (left Colorado hours before a snow storm). My trip average dropped to 8.6mpg after the ride home. I generally ran at the speed limit which was 30-75 depending on the area.
