Hello All,
Just bought a new 2019 2500 Gasser Tradesman Regular cab, Long bed on December 31st. First time Ram owner and at least for these first few days I'm absolutely thrilled. Dumped a 2007 Chevy Extended Cab short bed Duramax I've owned since new. It treated me very well for 12 years but I really wanted to go to simpler regular cab and couldn't get past the new gm looks. Also getting ready for a move to Boston soon (wifeys call, not mine) and figured I'd try out gas this time and not worry about plugging in. My big brother has had probably a dozen Cummins of different gens over the years, so I've always appreciated Ram trucks (he even has a 6bt mechanical swapped into a 2000s suburban).
I'm a 1 man band contractor, focusing mostly on finish carpentry, and going back to a regular cab is actually really exciting. I tow a 14' trailer for storing tools (mostly) and having the slightly shorter truck and much much better visibilty (old truck had a contractor cap) has already been a flipping treat. I'm leaning heavily on getting a diamondback cover and ladderrack on this truck. The truck will be used for work but also my primary vehicle and I'd like to do my best to not make it not look like a fleet contractor truck, so I already have a ton of questions I'll be asking (why is it so hard to find out if things fit single cabs??).
Thanks so much and happy to be here.
Dan
