I was recently agonizing on what HD truck to get for the daily towing of my two trailers. One is tandem axle 6 ton hydraulic dump trailer and the other a 16x7 cargo filled with equipment. My work truck for the last 5 years was a 2017 F150 XLT 3.5 V6. I loved this truck and it served me well, but once daily towing set in, a change was due. Naturally a F250 Super Duty was the logical choice…..until I started seeing $100k price tags !!! I was blown away by all new truck price tags. When I was younger my dream truck was late 90’s Cummins and I’ve always liked them. I rent from Enterprise Truck Rentals often and always request a Cummins so I am familiar with driving em. A couple weeks ago as my F150 went for service I went on down to Enterprise to rent a Cummins and discovered they had a Truck sales division. I wasn’t in a rush luckily so the sales dude wasn’t able to talk me into the first truck on the lot. After searching nationwide I found a 2023 Bighorn Crew Cab with 39k miles outta Texas. I had it brought to CA and as soon as I saw it… I just knew she was the one, and after the last 2 weeks of daily driving and towing I now know that I definitely made the right decision!! I can barely feel the trailers behind me! The exhaust brake has got to be the best thing since sliced bread ! Haha. Anyway, I’m hoping to get some good advice on this forum and already have made some appearance upgrades. Unfortunately I’m saddled with CA emissions rules but am hoping to learn everything I can to keep her running for years to come. Thank you !!

Congrats on the new truck! You have to be enjoying not just the power of the Cummins but the heft of the truck too, when you tow every day and don't have to put much thought into the load you have behind you it makes for a much more relaxing day.

Dodge hasn't made trucks since 2009, FYI...
