This is the rear filter. Not sure if this is bad or not, but the new one is definitely cleaner!

I’m no expert and this is the first diesel I have had in forever. I asked my mechanic that does all of my services if I could watch him change the oil and all filters.

He was awesome and walked me through everything.

For the fuel filters, the front one used was not MOPAR however the rear filter was MOPAR as they are the only ones to make it for the 19 Ram....

Sorry went off on a squirrel thought...

Anyways, all filters brand new installed from the package were white.

When he changed my front fuel filter it was white in color after being used. The rear fuel filter was dirty (not while in color)

Respectfully
Chris

Some shavings were in the bottom of the drain pan. Glad they didn’t make it to the fuel pump

Thats normal you want it catching the crap and the color reflects the crap it has caught

Nothing out of the norm, you should see the stuff i have seen in the sediment bowls on my old 410D deere

Ok good deal. I don’t stick to any one station so it seems that I’m doing ok fuelwise.

I’ll bet on the 410d! My mower filters literally have grass in them. I guess the guys leaving the gas caps off might make that happen.
