Hi all! I've been lurking on this forum for a while now as I've been trying to decide which truck to buy. After looking at Ford(a 2019) and Ram, I'm hopefully picking up this '19 Megacab on Friday pending the recall being completed. The dealer said they have limited parts to perform the recall but will move up my truck to the top of the list. This is my first diesel truck ever and first HD truck. I am beyond pumped to pull my toy hauler this year. I bought a toy hauler last year and have been pulling with my 2019 Ram 1500(picture below) and the experience has been 80% just "ok" and 20% nerve wracking. If anyone has any questions about my particular set-up feel free to ask away, I love rambling :-)

Congrats on the purchase, the 2500 will eliminate that "20% nerve wracking" and make the entire towing experience nearly 100% enjoyable for you. By the way, I also bought my Ram from Van Horn, but in Plymouth, WI. I thought they were very easy to deal with.

Thanks! I am actually getting through the Plymouth location. It's closer to me and that's the one I got my 1500 from a year ago. I have also been happy with the buying experience on both trucks so far. Their pricing is solid up front so no need to play games.

I cannot wait to tow with it! I can't say that I dreaded towing with the 1500 but I definitely would get a bit uneasy. I would constantly check the forecast for the windspeed and skipped some races that were more than 3 hours away because I didn't feel comfortable with it. Almost worse than the sway/pushing was the expansion joints. The suspension is so soft on the 1500 that on some sections of road it would be hard to breath because we would get bounced up and down so bad. My limited experience with trying air bags made it worse.

I have some high expectations now that I "won't even know it's back there" with this 2500 haha. I could have easily gone with the 6.4 hemi for my needs but I really want the diesel towing experience, no more downshifting and revving.
