Heey Wooow,
Is there a possibility that the current systems could be updated to the new system, I would be willing to pay for the update....?
I'm currently shopping for a new truck a 2019 Uconnect ver 4.x, I guess. Is there been a history where the old systems could/have been able to be upgraded. I understand that the hardware will not run all the features, but most of the hardware should be supported, I would guess.

People have been adding 8.4" and 12" to their vehicles either via direct plug or aftermarket wiring kits, so it's probable. Time will tell.
