Finally happened to me. Fell backwards out of the truck when stepping into the truck on wet factory step bars from the rain. Has anyone added any anti-slip coating like bedliner or something to their step bars? Probably didn't help that I wasn't wearing appropriate footwear. Someone would have laughed there arse off if they saw me fall. Thankfully it was on my driveway while no one was looking.

Hope you’re ok bud. My steps aren’t factory and they’re more like “running boards” but they’re very anti slip. They’re DeeZee nxt. The little ovals are actually a durable rubber that provides a ton of grip. Also, they have three support legs rather than two like many steps I saw. Had them five years so far. Love them.

As far as adding anti slip they make stick on rubber tread plate which I have used before on trailers but not on side steps. You could try the granulated spray paint bedliner stuff but I doubt it would last

Thanks man. Like the look of those. Not ready to remove the factory steps, at least at the moment. One more slip or if the wife falls then that may change quick.
