Factory LED Fog vs Halogen Fog Lights

Do the factory LED Fog shine further out at 90 degrees from the front/direction of travel vs the factory Halogen Fog Lights?

Are there reasons for upgrading to the Factory LED Fog lights?

Probably wider yes. My OEM LED foglights are super wide…the lamp practically faces sideways.
If you are upgrading, I’d look at an aftermarket light…there are a number of aftermarket LED foglights that fit in the halogen bezels(diode dynamics, Morimoto, Baja designs)

Love my LED fogs. They illuminate low and wide - far off the sides of the road.

I put a set of diode dynamics on the GFs Subi. Holy smokes what an improvement those make! I have seriously been contemplating replacing the factory fog LEDs on the 2500 and JK with D.D.s. I always thought the factory LEDs were exceptional but DDs totally outperform in every way.
