Factory exhaust tip polishing

Anyone tried sanding and polishing the factory exhaust tip?

I want to powder coat mine black (or replace it with a black tip), the chrome sticks out like a sore thumb.

Yes I couldn’t stand the unfinished galvanized poop pipe on mine so I slipped a black MBRP octagonal tip over it.

Truck is sitting in a snow bank right now but this is a screenshot of what I got. I paid fair bit less as it was on sale.

Finally got a chance for some picks. I should have cut the pipe off first but it was too cold, maybe it will help the exhaust heat from cooking the powder coat.

I think a rattle can of high temp paint at $5.99 would do just fine.
