Trying to decide if i should purchase an extended warranty for my 2020 Big horn? I currently have just over 69,000 miles and entend to keep the truck for at least 5 years+, only drove about 10,000 miles a year in my f-250, howver do plan on some RV trips in the RAM. Wondering what type of issue are seeing with the hemi and other with trucks over 100,000 miles and decide if spend money on the extended warranty is a good move?

Also, pros/cons of the MOPAR extended warranty? Anyone with any experince in using their warrany or any other third party warranty you can suggest?

I’m definitely getting the Mopar warranty when my factory warranty is out. For the price, it’s pretty inexpensive piece of mind.

With inflation and supply chain issues, spending the “insurance money” (warranty) now is a hedge against future prices. Labor and parts seem to be going up all the time.

Plus, $2k for a warranty is cheap compared to some of these repairs. A new engine can cost $10k installed, Transmission almost close to that, replacement entertainment unit around $2k.

These are all gas truck prices. Imagine the diesel repair costs

Good luck getting an engine or trans when it starts to hit higher millage they are hard to get approved

Good luck getting approved regardless of mileage. I'd say if you get approved for coverage, then you haven't enjoyed your truck enough....kept it stock, never drove it, and left it at the dealer more than your garage just to make sure you are following the owner's manual for scheduled maintenance.

I am not a fan of denial.
