That doesn't give me the dual outlets. Won't that cause a drone?Easiest and cheapest is to just remove the resonator. Makes a great tone.
I don't want it load, just a better tone.I looked into these guys: https://mpiexhausttechnologies.com they have 2 muffler choices. I decided to keep it single exit so I ended up having my local shop do a muffler swap and delete the resonator, its loud and proud for sure.
No drone. Sounds awesome. Nice deep tone. Not obnoxious when crusing. That doesn't give me the dual outlets. Won't that cause a drone?
Check out the MPI guys; they do a dual exhaust option that isn't loud.I don't want it load, just a better tone.
I see that in your build thread, you put in a Magnaflow. Did you do that at the same time as the resonator delete? No drone. Sounds awesome. Nice deep tone. Not obnoxious when crusing.
You could do a split right after the muffler and run to both sides whereever you wanted it. Any competent muffler shop can do it. Probably cheapier than buying a cat back system.
I'll check them out. Thanks.Check out the MPI guys; they do a dual exhaust option that isn't loud.
I DID NOT put in a magnaflow.I see that in your build thread, you put in a Magnaflow. Did you do that at the same time as the resonator delete?
I will be going to a local muffler shop to see what they can do. Thanks for the input.I DID NOT put in a magnaflow.
Must be someone else's build thread. All I did was remove the resonator and tuck the pipe up close to the body out of the way where it should be. I still have the OEM muffler.
Like I said, no drone, not loud and obnoxious, but good low rumble.
Good point!Pipe is 3 1/2".
So make sure they can bend that
Or make a 3 1/2" to 2- 2 1/2" pipes to run out either side.
I looked at their website. Looks like they don't use stainless. Also their warranty only covers their system if it's welded. Does not cover their clamped system.Check out the MPI guys; they do a dual exhaust option that isn't loud.
