My 18 RAM threw up a code saying exhaust system service requierd see dealer. Question is can I still drive it until I can get into the dealer? And can this be performed by other mechanics other than the dealer? Thanks in advance for any advice

Yes and yes but it may give you a count down till limp mode if left too long, most diesel shops can get you back on the road
