I got “Exhaust System Service Required See Dealer” when idling today. Per manual, the engine must be running (due to factory air on the 2500) when unhooking or hooking a trailer.

See photos attached, I also got a few codes (p242B, P2472, and P0116)… not sure if they were new or just added. There’s no CEL and the See Dealer message was gone after a restart. I had the DPF replaced due to frequent regens ~ six months ago.

I was at 0% on DPF when this happened and it hasn’t budged.

Thoughts?

May have been a fluke, I wouldn't loose sleep unless they go active on the next few drive cycles, I would make sure all of the fuses/relays are fully seated in the fuse box. That has caused issues for people in the past

Where in the manual do you see that?

I see where it says the air suspension will remain active for 5 minutes after shutting the ignition off and after 5 minutes the ignition will need to be turned to on/run for the air suspension to reactivate.

I read that as ignition to run.

You should only need to have the engine running if the dash tells you the voltage is too low. The system operates the same in Run with our without the engine running as long as their is sufficient voltage.
