Exhaust system required

My exhaust system indicator is going on and says go to the dealer so I stopped by the dealer and asked him what the light was on for and they said they would have to diagnose it and it would cost $400. I said that’s crazy so I left when I turn the truck on that’s when it pops up but when it gets to a certain temperature, it turns off recently my check engine light turned on as well

You've told us nothing about your truck. Year, engine, miles, etc?

Take it to an autozone, etc. and ask them to pull the codes.
