Exhaust smell in cab

So it's not all the time, but I've noticed that when I get into my truck sometimes there is a strong "smell" inside. Definitely smells like exhaust or something to that effect. Is this typical with diesels?

It can happen if the wind is just right

I had a 20 F250 that was terrible when doing a stationary regen, it darn near made you think you were sitting in a 1960s bus depot with the diesel fumes. I’m all for the old school smell, but not in the cab
