Does the exhaust brake actuation trigger the trucks brake light? If it does will it also transfer that signal to a 5th wheel?

Is it actually “braking” though? I thought it was just holding speed. More like preventing acceleration.

I don’t have a Cummins, that’s just my understanding.

Automatic exhaust brake will hold speed. Full exhaust brake will decelerate as soon as your foot comes off the gas pedal.

Not sure on the brake light question.

Either position of the EB will activate the trailer service brakes if it's in a situation it needs to hold speed and cannot do so alone.

Running Cruise and/or EB Auto will cause this.

Put your EVIC on the trailer brake power screen and watch what happens - even without a trailer attached.

Hook a fifth wheel and you'll see the truck brake lights reflection when it happens.

I thought that was only if you have adaptive cruise? I have yet to have my truck automatically apply the trailer brakes even on some pretty extreme grades
