EPA removes DEF sensor requirement

Not sure how this will effect pickup truck engines, if at all:
 
This really only helps on the downside, keeping the truck from crippling itself if the DEF system has an issue. Think fewer harsh derates or limp mode, like getting knocked down to 5 MPH, over something minor or a sensor glitch. That said, we don’t see any benefit unless the manufacturer pushes an update and the dealer actually flashes the ECU. Bottom line, emissions hardware and rules stay the same. Nothing changes as far or as making deletes legal.
