I just bought my truck under a week ago and I am at a loss to explain the engine hour readings....

Call it a leap, but I'm kinda assuming that the truck has not averaged 492 mph so far-- so perhaps there is a better explanation as to why the engine hours and the odometer are at such odds?

On mine, the hours and idle time will reset itself when it reaches about 1,100 hrs and start from zero. You can still read the real hours and idle time directly on the Module/computeur using the OBD port.

For some reason that EVIC resets to 0 drive hours every 1092 hours.

You likely have 3568 (40mph moving average) or 4660 (31mph moving average) drive hours on the rig.
