Employee price vs dealer discount....

Hi Guys,

I'm looking at picking up 2019 Power Wagon. The sticker on the truck is around 63k, with the employee pricing from Ram (Factory Incentive) being 54k. The dealers around me are advertising this as "Their discount", when to me, it looks like it's a discount from the factory, having nothing to do with the dealer. Am I right or wrong on this assumption? If this is the discount from the factory, it looks like the dealer isn't discounting the truck at all. Is it reasonable to expect the employee discount from the factory, and a discount from the dealer for a truck they have in stock? Please set me straight. Thanks in advance.

You didn't say if you are in Can or US. but for me in Canada there's two seperate discounts. I just picked a random PW and this is what I get if I put in a discount code for my work.

Dealers get reimbursed 100% for the manufacture incentives. So if I am understanding you correctly, I would say they are not the same.

I've talked with two dealers, one on the phone. They would literally not answer the question when I asked them why they were including the empoyee discount as the dealership discount. Must be a Commifornia thing.

the dealers discount and employee pricing are not the same. Just search the internet and you will some dealers who list the employee discount then show a dealer discount- You should be getting 15-20% off MRSP. If not move on to another dealer during this promotion.

Thats what I thought. I have literally combed Orange/Riverside/LA counties and have talked to 4-5 dealers. None are offering more than the Factory Incentives.

Might be worthwhile to check out of state, like at Dennis Dillon for example.

I just bought a 2019 2500 limited in Tomball. Msrp was about 82k. Employee pricing went down to 71kish. Final price was 67300. Could have gotten another 500 off if i used chrysler credit.

I worked 3 dealers hard and this was the best deal i could get.

Thats crazy you just said Dennis Dillion, I was literally just on their site! I'm listin my house at the end of January so I can get the hell out of this state, and am headed to check out Meridian in a couple of weeks. Dillion doesn't have the black truck I want, but Im going to stop in and check them out when Im there. Thank you for the heads up.
