Electric over Hydraulic Trailer Brake Controller Compatibility on 2020 and up Ram Truck

I have the same braking system on my 5th wheel. Taking delivery today on a 21. I hope the truck is compatible. My 2014 worked fine.
 
I have Electric over hydraulic on my fifth as well (disc brakes) No issues, make sure the truck is configured correctly in the trailer connect screen. My fifth is 16k so I use Heavy.
 
Edit for clarity:
The trailer brake system DOES work on our newer truck which is a 2019. The system does not work on either of the two older RAM 5500 trucks (2011 and 2012). The trucks are configured the same and the kit I referenced above shows to be for the older generation (which makes sense). It appears RAM worked in an update on the newer brake controls that enables them to work with this type of braking system. It appears to be how the integrated brake system pulses and "reads" the signal to show a brake setup is in place and wired correctly.

I still may buy this so we can use our older trucks for this setup.

Is there not a setting in the evic to switch the trailer brake settings to electric over hydraulic i thought the older ones could aswell

There is. My 2013 2500 had that setting on the EVIC. My 2020 3500 has that brake setting on the 8.4 screen.
