do they lock/unlock or are they always connected to the axle? I’m not around the truck to look for a bit.

Always connected only the fords have unlocking hubs

Thought so….a buddy with a 2500 diesel was asking, should be the same

Depends on the year but yes he should be the same
For the diesels 89-93 had locking hubs then 94-01 had vacuum CAD then 02-11 had no disconnect then 2012 to present is electronic CAD systems
