Does not recognize phone

I plugged my Iphone 10 into the #1 slot and Apple Carplay did not open up or show on my 8.4 screen. Did anyone else have this happen? I prefer not to use Siri if I don't have to.

if your phone has been sitting for awhile prior to plugging into the truck, I found after you plug it in you have to login to the phone, and then Carplay opens.

Found out today that it was a bad usb cable.

hello so i know its an old post but i have a 2500 big horn sport 2019 and the usb #1 and #2 isn't charging and no connection possible for a while
The #3 and #4 usb are charging my phone but no connection allowed to the uconnect

somebody can help me on this
