Does anyone have a working side view on their HD digital rearview mirror?

I have a 2024 Ram 3500 that I love but it does not have the side view (exterior mirrors) view as seen here: https://www.ramtrucks.com/ram-2500/technology.html
I paid for the option and it doesnt work even with the tow mode camera attached.

I checked the module under the seat and the inputs for the side mirrors are not attached. Back of truck and trailer camera inputs are plugged, as is the output to the rearview Any ideas where the side cables might be? before I take apart the floor and doors?

I've contacted RAM, first they said tow camera has to be installed in bumper- did that. Button on the rearview mirror to the left of the "dimmer" flip switch cycles between trailer camera and back of truck- no side views. Called RAM again, they said take to dealership. 2 dealerships later and weeks and months later no real answer or solution.

Does anyone have this feature working?

There are two different DRVM’s, which one do you have?

Do you have trailer reverse steering control?

I do not have trailer reverse steering control. The review mirror has the button on the left of the flipper (regular mirror/video toggle) which changes mode to tailer view. Is that the indicator of which DRVM? or is there something else?

You have he standard DRVM, which means no side view cameras. Everything appears to be operating as intended.

that's strange, from the ordering it was supposed to come with the side views (it works through the Uconnect- different system yes).

If you had ordered the DRVM with the side view cameras (DRVM 3.0) you would also have trailer reverse steering control, as they are only offered together with the Tow Technology Plus Group.

The 360° camera is what shows on the UConnect and that is a different system and package, Towing Technology Group

Any ideas if I can connect the sideview mirrors to the controller under the seat? mirror looks to be the 3.0.

The only way to get the side view camera DRVM is tow tech plus.

@Jimmy07 might know how easy it would be to add. I believe there are different side mirrors with more cameras.

There’s no physical part difference with the DRVM for 2023-2024. To get the side mirror views in the DRVM, you need to have these cameras in the side mirrors:

Aha, that's it then. On my vehicle, the above camera is a switchable "backup light."
Is the camera and wire harness available to replace the light in the side view mirror?

Hi Jimmy, just bought a '24 Laramie 2500 Night Edition (Laramie B package) on NY eve. I've been scouring forum for info on adding 360 surround AND Side View Mirror capability. Is this even possible? I have uconnect 5 w/12" display but the only camera I currently have is the backup located in the tailgate. I have narrowed down the mirrors I might need to these two variants:

Aside from the front grille camera, and the specific third brake light assembly, would I need to change tailgate cam to surround view capable as well? Would I need to swap out my rear view mirror or is this already digital in the newer Rams? Also would I need to add a processor for the cameras under the seat?

Sorry for the barrage of questions. Looks like no one has really tried this on the newer trucks yet.

Well, we've got some serious false advertising going on here. The website builder clearly shows that the Tow Mode DRVM has side cameras in the picture. I quoted my custom-ordered truck at multiple dealers and asked all of them if the side camera was included, and they all said "Yea, it looks like it".

Received my truck and sure enough, it does not have the side cameras.

Came across this thread and see I am not the only one who has been mislead for a serious amount of money. Perhaps we should team up and pursue legal action? Ram hiding behind the excuse of "our website sucks" is not a justifiable reason to short people on their purchases. I don't blame the dealers, as I am aware how poor the communication is to them from Ram.
