So, I’m going to post what I wish someone else that had done this before posted
I just purchased a 2026 2500 Rebel and wanted to hardwire my radar detector.

Unclip the mirror cover shell with a plastic trim removal tool. Basically there is a clip on all corners, just pry them out.
The shell will not come out just yet. You need to remove the center piece for the mirror arm to slide out. I figured it was easier to be removed with the shell loose but you can also remove the center piece first and then pry out the shell.

This is the center piece. Start by prying from the top as if you start nearest to the mirror you will break those tabs.

This is what you are going to find once removed. You can see the clips.

For the power connection you will use the plug connected to the mirror .
This plug, peel back just enough of the fleece tape to make your connection.
Pink/yellow- switched 12V positive
Black - ground

After you do your connections, cover all with fleece tape again and reconnect mirror plug, you don't want any rattling in the mirror.

Re-clip the shell and center piece allowing the radar power cable to exit through the side.

Enjoy your radar detector, dash-cam, disco ball our whatever it is that you want to connect. Hope this helps someone

Nice install. I used a Valentine One 20 years ago until they had to have a total rework for Laser and POP Radar. How well do they work nowadays? I don't see many cops sitting around looking for speeders like they used to.

I recently bought a gen 2 Valentine One (replacing a gen 1 V1 that still worked) for my BMW and it works great. No radar detector will guarantee no tickets, but they definitely can help. I find mine is most effective with town police who are more likely to drive around with their radar on.

@Tanabersx, Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I followed these directions on my 26 Limited and it was perfect.
