The owner's manual for our 2022 3500 DRW says the following:

NOTE:
If your vehicle is equipped with an air suspension system, there is a feature which allows the automatic leveling to be disabled to assist with changing a tire.

Assuming you are jacking under the axle as recommended, can someone tell me how disabling the automatic leveling will make any difference.

I can understand this if you are lifting under the frame and suspending the wheels. Putting a jack under the axle is no different than driving onto a bump in the road.

I’ve never disabled my air suspension to change or rotate tires. The ignition is off and it doesn’t adjust anything.

It also tells you to disable it for hooking and unhooking a trailer, which is not beneficial in my experience. Learn how it works and let it do its thing.
