I’m trying to find a wheel that doesn’t stick out. I have a 2021 ram 2500. I’ve looked and most are + 20 offset or worse. The +20 with a 9” wide wheel means it will stick out 1.75” more than stock. I’m wanting a 17” wheel and either 35x11.5 or 35x12.5’s.

The salta is the best wheel I can find with an offset of +27. However I was told I need a tire that’s rated at 125 vs 121. So I can’t find this unless I step up to a 18” wheel.

Do I need to run 125 load rated tires? I want Load E tires. Looking at Toyo At 2 or AT3 tires.

121 load range = 3197 lb

that is more than enough considering the GVWR and axle weight ratings are much less.

As far as wheels go, good luck finding the perfect one. As you know, offset and width are very important deciding factors

Do you load or tow heavy? I tow a 17k 5th wheel through the mountains so I definitely needed to stay at the 125 load rating or higher. But, if you never load heavy then load 121 may work for you.

In the end, I went with a 18x9 +20 offset and LT295/70R18 tires. Tires are about 34.3 x 11.8" so just a bit smaller than 35x12.5s (toyo's specs for 35s are 34.5"x12.5"). Mine stick out about 1.5" further than the stock 20" rims and tires.
And, in that size, the load rating is 129 (4080lbs), so I can air down about 10psi less than stock and still have an effective rating equal to the oem 125 rating (3640lbs). Noticeably softer ride, and very solid handling even with 50psi.

With my setup with factory flares, gatorback mud flaps, and retracting steps, I get no extra spray up the sides of the truck. The only thing different is that there is more spray on the lower front edge of the rear wheel flares, coming from the front tires. I've got xpel film on the rockers as well as on the front edges of those rear flares, so I don't see a big issue with the way I've ended up.

He has a 2500, not a 3500.

GVWR for a 2500 is only 10,000lb

Oops, guess before I write an essay I should read the OP more carefully o_O

Hopefully the stuff about my end result with wheels offset and tire size will be helpful.

Oh, and one more thing about the Toyo's; the new AT3 has the 3PMSF rating so better in snow and wet than the AT2, if that's important to you.
