Weird thing happened a couple of weeks ago.
2019 3500 SO, stored in an unheated garage, I don't use the block heater. Regardless of the outside temps, the temps in the garage usually never dip below the 30's: outdoor temps were low, in the teens. Leaving for my office one dat, I jumped in and hit the start button. 999 out of 1000 times, the diesel preheat notification comes on for 20-30 seconds before cranking. Well, this time, it immediately cranked for a while and finally started. When it did start, it ran REALLY rough for about 30 seconds before finally smoothing out. As it started, I noticed that the temp gauge on the dash read that the temp was in the 70's (which it was the day before). This has happened twice to me now, its almost like the CPU stopped reading the temperature when I parked it the day before. Happening in my garage is not to worrisome to me because of how "warm" the garage stays. I am really concerned about this happening while parked in the elements at DIA for a week, and killing the batteries because it will keep trying to start it before the grid heaters do their thing.
Has anyone else experienced this?
