Did the GVW get reduced on the 3500 gas SRW?

Did it really go down from 11,400 to 11,040 or am I reading it wrong? I’m not anal about the payload number but still…

Also if the SRW trucks come with load index 125 tires (3600+ rating) the rims must be rated for that much as well, correct?
Would upgrade to LI 129 with 295s anyway but the rim rating seems to be hard to track down. Won’t need more than 7000 lbs capacity on the rear axle anyway for my next slide in camper carrier. The 295s would be good for over 8000, the stock rims should be ok. Tires seem to be always the weakest link, want to address that.

Also in searching here I just can’t find a realistic weight limit on the air suspension, but it looks like about 3500 lbs. probably won’t order this as the Timbren/Sumo approach works good enough for me.

My 2020 Cummins limited 3500 CCLB SRW air payload is 3704. I think I've seen others post closer to 4K with lower trims/options. I'd say you're going to be limited only by the RAWR.

As to the GVW, building a new 2025 gas 3500 on ramtrucks the SRW shows 11,040. Just wondering if that is the official number now. If I recall, the previous years had 11,400. No big deal.

The published rating of the wheels is 3500lbs, but I don’t believe they are stamped with it and it’s hard to say if that’s the rating or just max RAWR/2.

I show that gas GVWR is up 40lbs. 11,040 is for regular cabs and crew cab short beds. The crew cab long beds are 11,440.

Thank you for that! Building a new 2025 CCLB 4x4 SRW 3500 on ramtrucks.com it just shows 11,040. I kinda assumed with the slight de-rating of the gas horsepower I could see the GVW slipping as well. Again, thank you for the good news.
