Morning,

Unless I'm missing it somewhere or completely missed that there was information this was being removed, but I can't find on the Ramtrucks site under "towing and Capability" the area where you can put a VIN in and see the payload, max tow ect. Anyone else notice this? or was this out there as being removed at some point? Certainly not the end of the world but it was nice while looking at new trucks. Thanks.

Interesting.... But...after this TFL video last week, why am I surprised...

My guess is that there is an error on their website and they are going to fix it.

Ram uses SAE J2807 tow ratings, so I’d be surprised if there really is that much change.

I can't find it by vin number either. Here is the process to find Ram's chart for your generic truck, better than nothing.
ramtrucks.com/ram commercial/body builders guide/ click continue/select year/select model/ select technical information/select model

I found it here:
Thanks for the update, I had that same link book marked and it quit working. Strangely, still can’t get to it if you just go to Ram.com and “look” for it………..

Well now this too weird, I can get to the VIN look up if I hit that link via this site. I tried saving the link again with my own bookmark and it doesn’t work?!

Yes, I used to check it out all the time and all I had to do was a search on Ram tow ratings by VIN and it would pop up first thing. Now the searches go to the link to more general sites... But this one works and give me my new numbers same payload, around 500 lbs less on max tow ratings with my 6.4 Hemi.

Guess I’m one of the lucky few, none of my numbers changed.

Just looked up my 5500 and it shows a towing capacity of 23,210 lbs. That seems pretty low, but I'm not planning on towing - instead going with the big truck for payload (which is over 10k lbs).

For what it's worth the 4500 and 5500 trucks have always had lower towing numbers than the 3500, but higher payload.

I put in my 2023 Vin and it says no vin information available.
You put it in the wrong spot. Use this process
ramtrucks.com/ram commercial/body builders guide/ click continue/select year/select model/ select technical information/select model

He didn't put it in the wrong spot, it's just probably not available yet. Mine didn't show up until a couple days before my truck delivered.

The body builders' guide doesn't give numbers specific to an individual truck, it gives generic numbers for a stripped out Tradesman.

Did you try what I posted, it is Vin specific. You put it in the wrong spot too. :D
