I have a 3500 DRW Megacab on order so it's a 6 4 bed. I'm planning to install the Demco slider.
My question is what kind of space is left in the front of the bed? I want to install external diesel tank in that space if possible. If anyone knows please advise. If anyone has one a measurement would be appreciated. Thank you!

Mines 21 2500 mega. With Anderson 5th wheel, B&W turnover gooseneck, 50gal tank/toolbox combo, B&W offset hitch I believe it's a 4" back, turned the king pin adapter back to pull the camper forward so it sits about 1" back from a normal 5th wheel. Can't fit a normal 5th wheel hitch as I don't want rails and don't have the factory puck setup. 1017211704.jpg

I have a 2013 mega cab with the 24k pullrite superglide installed I can get you measurements from. Its on ISR rails no the pucks. I'll be looking to put a transfer tank in the same spot when my new 3500 mega is built, already bought the adapters for the puck system to put that same hitch in.

The distance from the front edge of my Demco slider to the front bed rail is 22". About another 1" if you go into the bed side under the rail.

Thank you. That's exactly what I was looking for.

At least someone can figure out how to answer a question with relevant info :D

Just for reference and info, my truck is 2020 megacab, with pullrite slider hitch on rail mount, 19" clearance between hitch frame and front of bed as installed.
Hitch would have to be moved back or hitch frame shortened for most auxiliary tanks that i found researching last year.

Thanks for that. I plan to wait to get hitch installed and measure it. Most of the tanks I have looked at won't work but I'll find something. I think one of the tanks was 12 inches but was only I think 40 gallons.

They have some 9” wide ones around 50 gal

This is a 33 gal. tank I used in my 18 short bed. My hitch was a Pullrite slider. Tank was 20" deep so I elevated it to clear the Rails.PXL_20211212_195537312.jpg

I had a 14 Mega with a standard hitch . I had a 50 gal transfer flow in the front. Not a problem . The slider will still be mounted with the furtherest point being over the axles same as a standard hitch. I have since bought another truck and put a Titan tank in it is no wider than the transfer flow 19 " a Tonneau cover will roll over it . I like the cover because it keeps the bed and equipment looking new and people cannot see in your bed . 50 gall of fuel is worth a lot of money these days .
