I have a 2022 Longhorn 3500 DRW Diesel on order but given the discussion here I was looking for availability sooner. Found a new truck at Prestige in Longmont CO. Apparently a deal had fallen through. It was a Laramie 3500 DRW diesel and missing a few options I wanted but I showed some interest. Got a call from salesman, then numerous calls over several days from him. Initial price was 87K which they bumped to 91K. Discussed trading my truck which is a 2021 2500 SRW diesel with only 13K on it. I told him I was unsure and to shoot me the best deal the first time around. They bumped the price to 96K and offered peanuts for my truck. I laughed, said thanks and goodbye. So apparently there is a lot of demand with an uncertain delivery wait time that would prompt them to toss a cash deal. Sometimes it is better to be patient and deal with reputable dealers you know.

In 2003, I was looking to buy a new Audi A6 2.7T Sport and stopped at Prestige in Denver on a Friday (jeans day) in my 98 Ram pickup after performing some IT work at Stephenson Lexus down the road. Prestige had the car I wanted but treated me like sh*t and wouldn't deal. Sales gal left me hanging in the showroom and practically threw a listing at me when I inquired about their inventory.

I ended up talking to Phil Long in the Springs and after looking for me for about a week, ended up getting me the same car from Prestige on a dealer swap for something they needed. Cut the whole deal over the phone and just went down there to sign and drive.

Guess Prestige didn't want my money then either. F em.

Yes, demand is still very high. I guess the higher diesel prices and interest rates haven't slowed things down yet. I've been looking at a few high end 22 Ram 2500's I've found online. Anything that checks enough boxes for me to call about have sold very quickly. And newer used trucks are still going for their original sticker price or more.
