I have read numerous accounts of DEF pump failures, and for a while they were on long-term backorder, so if it was readily available you are more fortunate than some have been, if that's any consolation.

That is like 3,000 miles. New truck. How many of these types of things cause immediate limp mode like this? Many of us are often out in the boondocks and 50, 100, or more miles from nearest dealer. Seems like if a problem is still drivable, limp mode should be delayed.

It’s my first new diesel , outside work trucks which are never more then a mile from the shop( minesite is very small foot print where i work), didn’t know i could shut it off for a few mins, disconnect battery and turn back on to temp clear the code and get back that way, lesson learned,

and as for the wait, ya, it was fixed yesterday , i was surprised it was so fast.

Guy i know here in canuckistan has been waiting over a month for a def pump his was an intergraded sensor that went, and he got a minivan loaner I was fortunate to only have a broken wire when my service def message came on because i cant do without my truck lol
