is any body else with a 2019 3500 with 6.7 cummins getting a deth wobble, our truck has less the 12,000 miles on it and when driven on a long curve if you hit any kind of bump or small pot hole the steering wheel takes off , had it back to the dealer and they said they cant find anything wrong

If you can, try a different dealer I say. I had that pulled on me multiples time with the cab mounts and this time the RPM gauge.

What was the fix?

Did you take the tech out for a drive and recreate the wobble? There's no mistaking it once it starts, so should be easy to demonstrate.

How far do you have to slow down to get the truck to eventually recover? If it recovers on its own relatively quickly, I'd assume track bar or drag link. If you have to pull over and nearly come to a stop I'd suspect tie rods and/or bearings.

Or...if we're not actually talking about death wobble and really talking about bump steer, then that is a whole different beast. As ollicat mentioned, lifted (or leveled) or wider wheels, larger tires, could exaggerate the natural feedback from the straight front axle. A proper alignment should help minimize that.

Funny this happened to me a few times recently, but it seemed like it was the rear that went nuts. Steering wheel didn't really move much, but the whole truck shook, and I could see the bed in my mirrors bouncing all over the place. Happened each time on long curves with bumps or expansion joints in the road. Nothing I did seemed to stop it (slowing, turning, braking hard) until it would decide on its own to settle down.

Hello everyone,

If anyone is experiencing steering concern on their Ram vehicle, please let us know directly. This is something we would like to look more further into. Thank you in advance!
