Does anyone know if the service dept can reset the parameters on new trucks? I thought I read somewhere they can but will charge $150 to do it. I asked my dealer service dept and they told me they cannot do it and it would be illegal for any Ram dealer to set the tpms and tire size to something other that what the truck comes with from the factory.

3500?

TPIS (info only) from the factory (not TPMS) on 3500's. You can set the pressures in the tire fill assist setup and they reportedly stick.

The tire size can be changed with a few devices, the best option being an AlfaOBD setup that will run you about $200 to acquire. AlfaOBD can also change the TPIS to TPMS if desired and set pressures with it as well.

I have fill assist on my 2020 2500 and that does not keep the warning lights off. it only alerts me when they reach the psi that they were set for. I know some on here said theres worked but mine did not for actually lowering the threshold.
AEV procal snap works great but is out of stock at the moment.

Your 2500 has TPMS, that's maybe where the difference lies.

3500's have TPIS.

Didn't stick on mine so I used AlfaOBD to reset tire circumference and tire pressure threshold down to 45psi. OF note is when in dealer and they disconnected the BCM my settings were still there, and even after a flash for a recall.
