I have a 2020 Ram 3500 DRW and the BSM stopped working about a week after I bought it (used). I bought it at a Ram dealer in Houston, but live closer to the Austin area. So, I took it to the nearest Ram dealer and they couldn't find what was causing the problem. So they ordered two new modules/sensors. They were on a long back order and after a couple of months, they just arrived. So, I brought my truck back in and after replacing the modules/sensors, the BSM system still does not work. And in case anyone is wondering, the BSM stopped working before I added/modified anything or even knew about AlfaOBD.

Error code: U0232
Lost Communication with Blind Spot Detection Module

With both BSM control modules/sensors having been replaced (and I replaced the side mirrors when I added Surround View - so that wasn't an issue), what else could be causing the fault? Maybe one of the Door Control Modules or the actual Body Control Module?

Sounds like it could be a wiring issue if they have replaced the modules and it's still not communicating? Is the dealer still working the issue?

Yup, still there.

I'd assume that they could check the voltage/resistance throughout the circuit to find a wiring issue?

I'm hoping they get it done quickly...these tech hours are adding up!

Oh, it's out of warranty? That sucks.

From what I have read that code pertains to the Left side module so that might help a little? I'm sure the dealership would know that though (I hope)

Well, the dealer says they've fixed the problem. Apparently there was either a break in the wiring or in the rear harness that was causing the problem. They did an overlay (ran new wires and bypassed the rear wiring/harness) and it's supposed to be working. I'm planning on picking it up tomorrow.

On a side note, during troubleshooting they flashed the BCM. No big deal except with my Adaptive LED headlights and Surround View cameras, it caused some confusion for the technician. The BCM now without the AlfaOBD changes, resulted in the turn signals and rear camera not working. So he spent half a day trying to figure out why they stopped working. Luckily, he called me before doing too much and I was able to explain why they weren't working and that I would take care of it.
