Putting a dash cam in my '21 2500. Had trouble locating ignition controlled power under the dash. The USB plugs on the dash are hot all the time as is the cig lighter type power receptacle. I found that the USB connection in the center, between the seats, glove box is hot with the ignition. I bought a 10' USB extension cable and ran it under the passenger seat and floor mats. Then up the door post under the rubber seal and along the windshield post to the camera. Now the camera comes on when I start the truck.

The 12V plug on top of the dash can be either ignition or hot all the time it is controlled by the fuse in the fuse box
