Cummins HO rough idle at first cold start each day

So I take my boy in for it's first oil change. The next morning, after sitting over night, I start it and in the first 30 secs it sounds like it wants to stall 2 or 3 times. Then it's fine the rest of the day. This now happens everyday on every FIRST cold start of the day without fail. I took it back to have the fuel filters changed 2 weeks later and there's no change. Dealership has no clue why it's happening. That scares me! Anyone experienced this? Thanks,
Jeff

My buddy has a '19 3500 that has done this, and actually will stall a few times, mostly when at some elevation. His cabin is at about 7K feet. It does not have to be real cold out either.

Thanks......not an elevation issue where I am.

Most/many have a rough idle when cold.

I complained about this and it was noted on the work order that the rough idle is due to EPA required emissions tuning.

Basically they said suck it.

If it didn't idle like that prior, they may have done a recall flash. I took delivery of mine 3-10-20 and it already had all current updates - the dreaded VB6...

FWIW, I live at 6K.

Thanks Brutal. Truck was built in Feb and delivered in March. I can ask about flash update though. Good info.

Thanks Mark! How do we proceed with opening a case?
