depends on how the weight is dispersed. If your 250 lbs and you put your need into it it will crack. however 300lbs of dogs, fine. weight spread over the surface it holds up well.

I glanced and seen this was a different model. Is the (rear seat mod) doable in a 2019 2500 tradesman? -single basic bench.

Yes, it is. I did it to my 2016 Tradesman with that same basic rear bench. Process was exactly the same as doing it to my 2020 Laramie split bench.
