Truck started having issues at around 22k miles over in Lake City Florida on the way back to Louisiana. Had the infamous service exhaust system message and took 35 days to finally get it back. Supposedly the CP3 recall was done to resolve the issue along with a code update. Ran ok for 2 weeks then on our way to go camping yet again defueled and started throwing the codes. This time it's been 36 days and the trucks has had the fuel injectors kit replaced on it along with 5-6 different sensor as well as the DPF filter and cat and is still throwing codes when running at higher rpms. Total of almost 70 days and still no resolution. This is my 5th FCA product, and it will be my last. I just don't trust the truck anymore especially when pulling a 5th wheel. I am quickly approaching the point where I am going to have to engage a local lawyer who specializes in these issues to have FCA buy this thing back for me to go get a Chevy gasser. These emission systems have completely ruined all diesel trucks and their reliability.

I would find a better dealer personally it sounds like they are not good with diesels

You could always make the emission issues go away if you really wanted

Yip, agree with the dealer remark. If they don't know what they're doing, which it sounds like maybe they don't, they'll just make things worse rather than better.

Glad you mentioned a gas because just switching to another brand of diesel is not the answer. They all have issues. I've had mostly GM diesels before my Ram and I can tell you GM definitely has their share of diesel fuel system and emissions systems issues, more than Ram IMO. After a 2018 Duramax nightmare, I traded it for a 3500 Chevy gasser and it was a good truck but I just tow too much so decided to try a Ram CTD.

Good luck.

Just called a local shop that specializes in Cummins. Let's just say I am going to solve this issue myself. Sadly, one of the 1st things they plan on doing is check the work of the dealership before tuning etc....

Latest today is that they are getting an error about fuel pressure post HPFP. Suspect life pump. Yet one more item to check off. Don't they train these guys properly.
