Who knows what we'll see in the new 2025 Ram Heavy Duty trucks from Cummins, but in the meantime here is what Cummins has come up with for their ever-popular new X15. Quite the improvements.

  • Smaller pistons with DOHC cylinder head
  • Revised fuel pump with
  • New oil filter design
  • Stronger aftertreatment

I've been told there is a new Cummins design coming to RAM 2027.
Then that wouldn't make a whole lot of sense to come out with a new motor for MY25. I can't believe RAM would just rollover the HO 6.7 with a new transmission on a new for MY25 truck, but I guess I wouldn't be surprised.

Yeah no kidding EGR is the devil. Unless its low pressure EGR as in post DPF, then its more acceptable.

The whole system has been redesigned.

I can't identify all the parts, but the EGR valve with the cables appears to be gone.

I've been told "glow plug" design but starting to wonder if they actually pulled off the DFI thing.

It also has a topside access cartridge oil filter housing.
