Confused about floor covering...

Putting together an on-line order and I am seeing the "Black Vinyl Floor Covering" option for $0. This option then gives "Rubber Floor Mats" for $0. The Rubber floor mats are normally $150 if ordered alone. What am I missing? What do you not get if you get the Vinyl floor coving at no cost? I'm guessing maybe floor carpet is deducted and that's why the mats are free? Is this correct? And if so, what are most people's recommendation on this?

I assume this is vinyl floor vs carpet and the mats just fit on top.
Do you you want carpet or vinyl?

I have what maybe the most stripped 2500HD Tradesman diesel you could get, and rubber mats don't come automatically with the vinyl flooring. I have seen multiple stickered trucks with vinyl flooring and $150 optioned rubber mats listed. I bought mine off a lot, rather than ordered, but have not seen rubber mats in a Tradesman that wasn't optioned with them.

I bought mine to build as a camping / trailer tow vehicle and love the ease of cleaning the vinyl provides. I have just gotten Weathertech molded mats in grey color and they match the grey vinyl seats nicely.

Ok, looking at this a bit more... I guess it is a choice between carpet or vinyl on the floor. If you pick the carpet, the rubber mats are $150. If you pick vinyl, the rubber mats are $0. I like rubber mats either way, so I guess it boils down to going carpet or vinyl. Does anyone know if the vinyl is a hard product (like home vinyl flooring) or flexible like carpet? I wonder how it impacts accessing the rear in-floor storage bins since you have to lift up the carpet to get to them. Does anybody know?

The vinyl is soft and has the fiber insulation underneath it. It's soft and pliable almost like a vinyl fabric, and is molded into the shape of the cab floor. It also has a grippy pattern and RAM insignias molded in, looking like floor mats on the drivers and passengers sides with the male nubs to locate separate floor mats. It is black.

Tradesman level trucks don't have the in-floor storage bins, but others have researched here and they can be added. It would require cutting the vinyl flooring, as well as the insulation underneath. I'm not sure Bighorn level and above that come with the bins can be ordered without carpet. Either way, most cover them with floor mats, which must be lifted to gain access to the in-floor bins.

Pretty sure the $0 rubber floor mats are different mats than the $150 Mopar slush mats.
